Our Story

Hello, Welcome to Surfin Betty’s Burger Bar

We’re an independently and locally owned business.

We are an offshoot of the beloved  Surfin’ Betty’s Beach bar, which operated on the boardwalk from 1986 until 2019.  Our goal at Surfin‘ Betty’s is to provide a neighborhood gathering spot with a focus on pasture-raised burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, and fresh-cut fries. Whether you’re looking to spend a relaxing afternoon sipping a local craft beer at one of our community tables, or simply need to grab a hand-spun milkshake to go, Surfin’ Betty’s looks forward to providing you with good food and even better memories.

Why pasture raised?

We have proudly partnered with Roseda Farms, a Maryland-based, family- owned cattle farm.  The farm prides itself on sustainability by operating solely on solar power, gravity-based watering, and regenerative farming. All of their beef is pasture-raised in the rolling hills of Monkton, Maryland, and is grass-fed. Once the beef is harvested, it is dry-aged for 2 to 3 weeks, giving our burgers that steak-like taste.

Why all-natural chicken?

Our products are sourced from chickens fed an all-vegetarian diet with no animal byproducts and no antibiotics to appeal to diners looking for an all-natural protein option.

There are dipping sauces and more fried chicken on a tray on the table. The restaurant has exposed brick walls and neon signs in the background.

Surfin’ Betty’s was born out of a passion for great food and grows from the love of our Ocean City family. Surf’s up!
